150th Mud Pump WIRTH typ TPK 2200 shipped June 2008

End 2005 pump number 50 ... in June 2007 number 100 ... and just one year later the 150th TPK 2200 mud pump is shipped.

Thus, the TPK 2200 is the most successful model in the product portfolio of WIRTH GmbH. The configuration of this product is considered to be one of the decisive factors having made Business Unit Oilfield the top-selling and most profitable one of WIRTH GmbH.

This star of the past years has a wide-spread application range: The TPK 2200 is operating worldwide on platforms, jack-ups, semi-subs, drill ships and land rigs searching oil and gas fields. In daily operation it convinces by its extraordinarily high reliability and efficiency.

After having successfully passed its test run, the 150th mud pump of this series (order value approx. 1 million Euro) will now start its journey to Kazakhstan. It will be utilized as 3rd unit on a land rig in addition to the already existing pumps there for the exploration of new crude oil and gas fields.

The triplex hp mud pump has a drive power of 2200 hp. At a maximum pressure of 517 bar, it can pump up to 1640 l per minute.

Delivery of the 200th mud pump will not be long in coming – today further 36 pumps of this type are booked in the order backlog. In general WIRTH is in the project phase of more than 75 large-size pumps with a drive capacity of up to 2500 hp.
