Marl signs five-year contract with ThyssenKrupp Xervon
As
of January 1, 2008, ThyssenKrupp Xervon GmbH, Gelsenkirchen, will be in
charge of maintenance at VESTOLIT GmbH & Co. KG's production plant at
Chemiepark Marl. The five-year contract is worth around €70 million.
VESTOLIT and Xervon agreed on a full-service
contract comprising planning and execution of the maintenance and/or
repair work, parts purchasing and warehousing as well as purchasing and
coordinating all subcontracted services. Both parties agreed on criteria
for measuring and evaluating the plants' technical availability as a
decisive value-adding contribution of maintenance.
“With this contract, we include another module in the location network
where our experienced experts assure high technical plant availability
on a sustained basis," says a satisfied Chairman of the Management
Board of ThyssenKrupp Xervon, Dr. Niclas Müller.
At Chemiepark Marl, VESTOLIT GmbH & Co. KG operates Europe's largest

production takes place at a single location through the intermediate
products EDC (ethylene dichloride) and VCM (vinyl chloride). Nowadays,
the company employs around 700 people at Marl and has 56 agencies around
the globe.
