The 28th June 2007 FPCC signed the final acceptance certificate for the Taiwan project following the successful completion of commissioning on 27. June 2007 with following highlights:

• Start-up of 2 x 80.000 m3 ethylene tanks with process facilities which represents the largest ethylene tanks by TGE and FPCC compared to the previous 30.000 m3 tanks of previous projects

• Successful testing of the new tank insulation system during cool down, filling and boil-off gas tests. In the new insulation system cellular glass in the bottom has been replaced by PUF insulation

• Continuing and improving of the positive cooperation between TGE and FPCC in the meanwhile “proven” integrated commissioning and start-up team for the FPCC-Olefine group

• The TGE storage and process system was essential part of the smooth start-up for FPCC’s largest ethylene cracker of 1.2 million metric tons capacity

• With the new cracker FPCC becomes the third largest ethylene producer worldwide with 2.94 million tons per year.

• Special thanks have been given from the FPCC management to TGE highlighting that TGE has been again the only contractor within the entire cracker project who performed his work on schedule.
