MTU Aero Engines: New factory in Poland Ingenics AG:
Overall coordination of entire production site
MTU Aero Engines GmbH has built a new factory in the polish city of Rzeszów. Ingenics AG were commissioned with the overall coordination of the entire production area, which demands considerable experience in planning and implementing new production sites all over the world.
MTU Aero Engines has invested around 50 million Euros in new production sites in the capital city of the Subcarpathian Voivodship. This region in south west Poland features a well-developed industrial environment, with companies operating in the aviation industry and large potential for skilled workers.
Under the leadership of a polish manager, the new MTU-subsidiary, with currently 200 employees who, among other tasks, develop and manufacture guide vanes and rotor blades for low pressure turbines, which they assemble and repair parts for. By 2012, the number of personnel is set to rise to over 400; Working with ultra-modern machines and repair techniques to achieve the uniqueness that the MTU is famous for worldwide.
From the outset, MTU Aero Engines GmbH has established optimal production conditions at their new site. You can therefore rely on the competence of Ingenics AG from the very beginning for factory planning in Eastern Europe. Ingenics assumed responsibility for the integral planning of production sites, providing an interface between general planning and the MTU’s Project Team. Additional tasks included the compilation of a strategy for re-locating machines on site as well as coordinating delivery and the initial operation of the site. The production launch is planned for the beginning of the second quarter in 2009.
