MAN Turbo takes over American service provider
Regional presence in the USA strengthened further

MAN Turbo AG’s American affiliate has acquired the American service provider Baton Rouge Machine Works, Incorporated (BR), located in Louisiana, USA, and its sister company, Holley Machinery, Inc., located in Alabama. The acquired companies, which employ 95 people, have sales of approximately $ 19.0 million.

BR is an established service supplier for turbo machinery. Its portfolio includes the production and servicing of large and heavy components as well as field service. BR services the chemical and petrochemical industries, refineries and the oil and gas industry.

The acquisition of BR serves to strengthen MAN Turbo’s regional presence in the American after-sales service market. The company recently acquired the Texas service specialist HB Turbo, and now has service shops strategically located throughout the Gulf Coast region, the heart of the American oil and gas and chemical industry. “This latest acquisition highlights our strategic focus, which is clearly concentrated on strengthening our service business,” said Klaus Stahlmann, chairman of the Executive Board of MAN Turbo.
