HOERBIGER
ACQUIRES MECEL ENGINE SYSTEMS AB Effective March 1,
2007, HOERBIGER Kompressortechnik Holding GmbH, Vienna, acquired the
Swedish engineering company Mecel Engine Systems AB, Åmål, in a share
deal. The synergy between Mecel Engine Systems’ technical know-how and
HOERBIGER’s customer oriented, international network represents a unique
position in the global engine market. To underline HOERBIGER’s strong
commitment to this industry, Mecel Engine Systems will be operating under
the new name: HOERBIGER Control Systems AB. HOERBIGER,
known as an innovative technology company, will, together with Mecel
Engine System’s know how, use its market position to further advance the
development of diesel and gas engine management systems for the global
market. Mecel
Engine Systems is specialized in the development of control products and
associated services for the industrial engine industry as well as for
automotive niche markets. The company provides
turn-key solutions to its global customers, engaging its strong network of
hardware and component manufacturers. Mecel
Engine Systems is a market leader in engine controls and related sensors.
