HIMA strengthens its presence in the Asia-Pacific growth market
New subsidiary in Malaysia guarantees a powerful on-site service

HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH + Co KG has founded a new subsidiary, HIMA S.E.A. Sdn. Bhd based in Petaling Jaya Selangor, Malaysia, in order to provide customers in the Asia-Pacific region with even better on-site support. This is HIMA’s response to the high demand of the booming industries for its solutions in this important growth region.

The team at HIMA S.E.A. Sdn. Bhd markets and supplies complete safety-related automation solutions for the process industry. The new subsidiary offers an extended range of services to replace the Regional Office, which has been representing HIMA in Malaysia since 1996. Since that time, the company has successfully installed around 200 safety-related systems for well-known end-customers such as Malaysian Liquid Natural Gas, MLNG (PETRONAS), BASF/PETRONAS Cooperation, Bayer Thailand, BASF Indonesia, PT Kaltim Methanol Indonesia and Ciba in Singapore.

In the Asia-Pacific region, HIMA already has its own subsidiaries in Australia, China, Japan and South Korea. The formation of HIMA S.E.A. Sdn. Bhd is a continuation of the company’s intention to provide its clients with the best possible service through exemplary customer-orientation.

HIMA develops and produces products and solutions for safety-related automation tasks in the processing and manufacturing industry. HIMA solutions are approved for applications up to SIL 4 (IEC 61508) and Cat. 4 (EN 954). These include emergency shutdown (ESD) systems, fire & gas systems (F&G), burner management systems (BMS) and high-integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS), as well as applications for conveyer systems, presses, paint lines, bodywork welding plants, final assembly, and lifts. The construction of safety-related networked applications is made possible using safeethernet.

With more than 18,000 systems installed worldwide, HIMA is the world’s leading supplier of safety technology to almost every major company in the processing industry.
