Thrane & Thrane’s SAILOR SP3500 portable series is growing with the addition of three ATEX certified models, designed specifically for use in hazardous marine environments. 

Fully waterproof, the ATEX versions of the SAILOR SP3500 portable series are built specifically for use at sea, and can be trusted to provide reliable communication whatever the conditions. 

The SAILOR SP3540 VHF ATEX GMDSS is unique in that it is the only ATEX certified portable VHF available to offer GMDSS functionality, so it can be used for both on board communication and to fulfill safety requirements if an incident should occur.
